Important – Please Read
This repository exists to communicate an upcoming infrastructure change affecting git.x-files.dk.
What is happening
I am in the process of moving git.x-files.dk to a new server provider.
This migration will take place over the next week or so.
During this period:
- Short periods of downtime may occur
- The service may be temporarily unavailable while data is moved and verified
Important change: clean slate
As part of this migration, all repositories will be reset to an initial commit.
This is a deliberate decision.
The new server will start with:
- A clean environment
- Fresh repositories
- No historical commits carried over
The goal is a simpler, cleaner, and more maintainable setup going forward.
What you should do
If you need anything from the current repositories:
- Clone or archive what you need before the migration completes
- Assume that existing commit history will not be preserved
Why this approach
Starting fresh avoids dragging legacy state, experiments, and technical debt into a new environment.
This is about long-term clarity and stability — not about erasing work without reason.
Status
This notice will be updated if plans change.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
